Carlo Mari has long been fascinated with the land of Africa and the sea. His photographs have won numerous awards and have been featured in many books, including Underwater Life in the Mediterranean. Harvey Croze, a behaviorist and ecologist, has worked in Africa for three decades. He studied under the Nobel Laureate Professor Niko Tinbergen. His most recent work has been a revised edition of Pyramids of Life: A Study of the Ecosystem. Dr. Richard D. Estes is an Associate of mammalogy at the Museum of Comparative Zoology, Harvard University.
